Spirits Around Us: Living Safely and Wisely with the Unseen

Dr. Corey Minatani
February 22nd | 12:00pm – 2:00pm | Online on Zoom

From the gentle household brownie to the chaotic poltergeist, from the whispering shadow figure to the infernal tempter, the unseen world teems with entities that share our space and sometimes our attention. Spirits Around Us is a practical and theoretical workshop designed to help participants understand, coexist with, and defend against a wide variety of spiritual beings drawn from folklore, magical tradition, and modern psychic experience. Participants will explore the characteristics and behaviors of entities such as brownies, boggarts, banshees, imps, infernal demons, ghosts, shadow people, thoughtforms, and elementals. Through a combination of folklore study, psionic awareness exercises, and magickal defense techniques, attendees will learn how to: Recognize the signs of different types of spirits and their influence in the environment Establish safe boundaries and respectful cohabitation practices Apply basic psionic shielding and energy-cleansing techniques Utilize traditional magickal protections from Western occultism and global folklore Understand the ethical and spiritual implications of working with, or against, non-physical intelligences The workshop emphasizes responsible spiritual engagementbalancing curiosity with caution, and power with humility. Whether you are a practicing magician, psychic, or simply someone who has experienced unexplained phenomena, this class offers a grounded and comprehensive approach to living harmoniously with the unseen world.
