From inside flap: What is this strange phenomenon called Retrogradation? Webster’s Dictionary defines it by saying: moving backward, going backward, going back to a worse condition, to become worse… can this be true? Is this in fact what happens to an individual when one is born with one or more planets in retrograde at birth? We know by astronomical fact that no planet moves in backward motion. However, astronomers note the apparent retrogradation of planets. Perhaps a simple explanation of what is happening celestially is akin to driving in an auto and starring at a tree in the distance,; as the car advances, one gets the feeling that because of the concentration upon the tree… the tree is moving towards you, not advancing, but RETROGRADING, as you in fact are advancing toward it. Try this experiment next time you your driving!
