Social Issues And Our Spiritual Journey Workshop with Carley Frye
1st Saturdays | 12:00 noon – 1:30 pm | OnlineRequest Workshop Zoom Link
Once again, we’ll be exploring our relationship between social issues and our spiritual journey. We’ll discuss individual issues that are “hot topics” in society and address how our approach to them reflects our personal growth, acceptance of others, boundaries, and more. We’ll be looking at information from leading organizations and government entities about the topics at hand to get the conversation going in a productive manner. That information will be combined with spiritual concepts, and we’ll analyze how they intertwine.
This workshop is open to all, and conversation is highly encouraged so that we may learn from one another. Different perspectives are appreciated to encourage a well-rounded conversation. Participants will seek to uncover the facts and how they relate to our individual opinions and emotions in a nonjudgmental manner.
Carley Frye, MBA, has dual B.A. honors degrees from Virginia Tech in Political Science and Public Relations with a minor in Leadership and Social Change. As a millennial living during the height of Cancel Culture, she is aware of the concerns and reservations that others have about using their voice in this ever-evolving social climate. She seeks to create a welcoming environment for healthy dialogue amongst workshop participants.
