Join Ed Alden, Susan Brown, Sue Prescott, Linda Shields for a panel discussion about the nature of Theosophy and the ways in which it has helped them deal with their greatest life challenges.
Theosophy, meaning Divine Wisdom, guides us to act in the world as an expression of the inner spiritual Self. It explains the Ancient Wisdom and gives us practical guidelines for how to live one’s life. The panel will focus on how these guidelines have helped them face difficulties in their lives, such as the death of a loved one, a relationship conflict, or the broader question of “Why Am I Here?”
Linda Shields has been a member of the Theosophical Society since 1974 and manager of Quest Bookshop since 1985.
Susan Brown has been a Theosophist for 60 years. She has been active on boards of the local lodge and Indralaya on Orcas Island. She also volunteers at Quest Bookshop, the public face of the Theosophical Society in Seattle.
Sue Prescott is the author of “Realizing the Self Within”, a book on accessing one’s own inner wisdom. She is a social worker, therapist, life-long theosophist, and frequent lecturer for the Theosophical Society.
Ed Alden is a long-time Theosophist and is a member of the Seattle Lodge.
This panel is well educated on a variety of teachings and welcomes your questions and perspective.
