We are living through a historically difficult time to remain centered around our spirituality when the divisiveness of our country is at a high and demanding our attention. During these monthly talks, we'll analyze the current social issues and talk about how to adjust to them in a way that is conducive to our goals of study, meditation, and service. Together, we'll work to find the individual meeting point for all of us along the boundary of social issues and spirituality.
Carley Frye, MBA, has dual B.A. honors degrees from Virginia Tech in Political Science and Public Relations with a minor in Leadership and Social Change. She recently completed her MBA in International Business from Louisiana State University Shreveport. As a millennial living during the height of Cancel Culture, she is aware of the concerns and reservations that others have about using their voice in this ever-evolving social climate. She seeks to uncover the facts and how they relate to our individual opinions and emotions in a nonjudgmental manner. Carley was raised in a conservative corner of rural Appalachia and now lives in the progressive bubble of Seattle. Therefore, she’s had extended exposure to a wide variety of thought processes and diverse political views.
