In the late 70’s Leonard Shaw, greatly influenced by Fritz Perls, Gerald Jampolsky, Sidney Banks and Buddhism, shared his new psycho-therapeutic insights at a weekend seminar. Afterwards two friends challenged him that “everything you shared came from your ego.” Although inwardly denying this, Leonard stared clearly at their accusation. He finally had to acknowledged the truthfulness of it. "Immediately, I had one of the strangest physical experiences of my life. I felt my character armor crumble to my feet. Ever since then I have continued surrendering at deeper and deeper levels, much to the enrichment of my life.” Within a year Leonard was teaching and practicing his "Love-and-Forgiveness-Ego-Death-and-Surrender" therapy in Toronto, Copenhagen, and Frankfurt. Shortly thereafter, Leonard felt a calling to teach and practice his spiritually based therapy in prisons, which he’s done as a volunteer for 30 years. During that time he has also taught at training centers in Canada, Europe and the Canary Islands. At the conclusion of his sharing Leonard will guide us through some of his love & forgiveness exercises so that we can experience their healing benefit in our lives.

Leonard Shaw has a Masters in Social Work from the University of Washington, and is the author of “Love and Forgiveness. A Workbook for Self Healing and Healing Relationships.”
